Celebrate the Beatification of Blessed Clelia Merloni

The Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a religious congregation founded in Italy in 1894 by Mother Clelia Merloni.    She was a remarkably dynamic spiritual leader who sent her sisters to serve the needs of the Church in the United States and South America within a few years of the beginning of her congregation.

She led a life of amazing holiness and goodness that led to her Beatification by the Church on Nov. 3, 2018 in Rome.

A number of sisters of Blessed Clelia’s congregation have served and currently serve in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee:

---Sr. Kierstin has served at Pensacola Catholic High School since 1987, Sr. Margaret Kuntz is Diocesan Director of Faith Formation and has served in Pensacola since 1986, and Sr. Margaret Ann Calcutta has taught in the St. John Catholic School Morning Star Program since 2012.

The Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus are inviting you to join us at a Mass celebrating the Beatification of Blessed Clelia Merloni, with Bishop William Wack as principal celebrant, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a reception in the Ave Maria Hall.    We hope that you can join us!
