Academic Support Services

  • Catholic High School challenges every student to take the most rigorous courses in which he/she can be successful. If a student is not achieving his/her potential, CHS offers many resources to assist in realizing academic success.

Guidance Counselors can help students identify their strengths and weaknesses and obtain the assistance they need. Meeting with teachers is often the most important intervention. On a continuing basis, the Guidance Counselor will consult with teachers, confer with the student and monitor the student’s progress. Students are encouraged to utilize the Brent Library and Media Center for regularly scheduled study time before and after school, and attend math lab where individual math teachers are available. A list of tutors, including agencies and teachers, is also available in the Guidance Department.
