Application for Financial Aid Process

  • Families interested in applying for Financial Aid should complete the following steps by March 1, 2019. Families registering after March 1, 2019, must make application within one week of registering in order to be considered for the 2019-2020 academic year:

    1. Complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Application, which can be accessed through the FACTS website.

    2. Make payment of the $30 application fee directly to FACTS, by credit card or e-check online, for processing of the application.

    3. Submit to FACTS by March 1, 2019, via upload, a copy of your IRS Federal Form 1040 U.S. Individual Income Tax Return for 2017 or 2018, with all supporting schedules, and your 2018 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements.  Copies of supporting documentation for household Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) must also be submitted.  Applications and determination of financial need can not be verified until all required documentation is submitted.

Families must submit all Financial Aid forms by March 1, 2019 or within one week of registering their student at CHS.  Qualified applications received after the deadline are not guaranteed a full award amount.

NOTE:  Only one FACTS Grant & Aid Application per family is required.  Having a grant for the 2018-2019 school year does NOT qualify a family for assistance for the 2019-2020 academic year.
