Service Projects and Opportunities

    • It is suggested that you look into one of these agencies to learn what service opportunities possibly exist.  Seniors are reminded that they must dedicate 40 hours of service to one organization only.  Other grade levels can get their service from a variety of locations but this is a great start.

Embodying our core value "commitment to service", CHS students are required to give of their time and talents to others in our community who are in need.

CHS graduation requirements include for the 9th and 10th graders a total of 20 hours of service, an annual total of 5 must be at CHS (1/2 of all required hours must be completed by the December deadline with the remainder due by the May deadline); for 11th graders a cumulative total of 30 hours including 5 at CHS (1/2 of all required hours must be completed by the December deadline with the remainder due by the May deadline); for 12th graders a cumulative total of 40 hours at one volunteer agency plus 5 at Catholic High.  Seniors must complete all service hours by the end of the 3rd Quarter. All students are encouraged to go above and beyond this minimum requirement.

All questions concerning the CHS religion service requirements should be directed to the Religion Department, (850) 436-6400, ext. 623.
