Sr. Consuella Society

  • The Sister Mary Consuella Society was established by Catholic High School (PCHS) in 1997 to honor those who make PCHS a part of their legacy through a planned gift. The purpose of these gifts is to advance Catholic High to new and higher levels of achievement. The gifts serve as a bright symbol of hope and confidence in the future of PCHS. They are a reflection of the benefactors' commitment to the values, standards, and aspirations of PCHS. These planned gifts strengthen Catholic High immeasurably and endure in perpetuity. In every case, one of the values of such a gift is that it enables Catholic High to plan its programs, activities, curriculum, and even its physical plant far into the future. At the same time, it allows you, the donor, during your lifetime, to make a statement of support that will ultimately become a lasting legacy.

When Pensacola Catholic High School was established in September of 1941, Sister Mary Consuella Pullen, RSM, was assigned as the interim principal. Sr. Consuella continued teaching and counseling at Catholic High until 1976 when she retired from active ministry.  Those who were fortunate enough to have come under the tutelage of this educational pioneer in Northwest Florida have tale after tale of her giant imprint on the early life of Catholic High and its students.  It was religious such as Sr. Consuella who laid the formidable foundation for what is Pensacola Catholic High School today.  It is in her honor that Catholic High established The Sister Mary Consuella Society.

Membership in the Consuella Society is offered to all who endorse Pensacola Catholic High School's mission, and who give substance to their commitment through the provision of a planned gift valued at $5,000 or more. To become eligible for society membership, individuals simply inform CHS in writing that the school has been made a beneficiary in their estate plans. CHS requires documentation of the planned gift –for example, a certified copy of the pertinent provisions of the individual's will or trust or a copy of the life insurance or retirement plan beneficiary designation form which names CHS as a beneficiary. Alternatively, you can submit a letter from an attorney which specifies that you have indeed included CHS in your estate plans.

We invite you to consider and share in our aspirations for Pensacola Catholic High School by becoming a member of The Sister Mary Consuella Society. Giving a planned gift can be easier to accomplish than you might have thought!
